The Japanese word Kaizen comes from two root words, kai and zen. In this clip, John speaks to the essence of the word Zen and the importance of Zen leadership, coaching and parenting. It makes a significant difference in the motivation, attitudes and behaviors of the people we lead by tapping what John calls “Zenergy,” the effortless flow of life force. Great results in kaizen do not come from the leader or team. They come through the leader and team – when we trust the process and one another, focus the energy, and get out of our own way.
